How to use a Tens Machine & how Tens is thought to work

The digital dual channel Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulator (TENS) machine is used as an alternative to medication to relieve pain from arthritis, sports injuries, or back pain.

Pad Alarm - To ensure best performance the "itouch easy" has been fitted with a "Pad Alarm" that shows if the contact of any of the four pads to the body is lost or below standard.
One Touch Memory Start TM - At the touch of only ONE button, the i-touch remembers and returns to the last settings.It gently ramps up to around 75% of the last intensity level used, taking into account the natural tolerance that the body may have built up.
Comfort Strength control TM - Gives a known and reproducible stimulation. CSC monitors skin and electrode pad resistance and adjusts the output to maintain a constant current, which is linked to intensity steps on 0.5mA, for maximum comfort.
2 in 1 Lead Connection - Unique single plug connection for both channels, simplifying lead connection and management during use.

TENS machines can be used to treat conditions including arthritis, back pain, incontinence, lumbago, menstrual pain, multiple sclerosis pain, and nausea. Use TENS also for phantom-limb pain, post-shingles pain, sciatica, and pain caused by sports injuries, plus for many other conditions. They can even reduce stress, insomnia and travel sickness. Please note, it is important that you find out from your GP what is causing your pain before using the TENS machine. Additionally, you should not use it: if you have a heart pacemaker or have a heart rhythm problem; if you have (or have had) epilepsy; for the first three months of pregnancy; if you have acute, feverish or infectious diseases.

You should never use this unit near heart monitors or alarms or when cycling, driving or operating machinery. This TENS machine uses electrodes. Do not place electrodes on the carotid arteries in the front of your neck, over your eyes, across the front of the head, on the abdomen if you are pregnant, on the heads of children under 12 or near malignant tumours.
